These are winners for sure. I’m looking at them with your color comments in mind. Matching the darkest stripe seems conservative to me; do the shorts with 3-tone awning stripe feel like they have algo to you?
FI yes ... I'd say for me these shorts are a subtle statement piece ... That's said, I would match any of the other tones in the shorts (except that they are not really my best colours!) ... Or pair with white or dark gray. I wouldn't pair with a colour though ... Although I'm sure others might and they could make it look fab!
I would say 'conservative' is a fair style descriptor for me
