I’ve been determined to wear my real clothes this winter even if it’s just for grocery store and errands! So today I’m breaking out the Veronica Beard red plaid blazer, basically wearing it as a coat.

Everything underneath is as basic as it gets. DL1961 straight leg jeans, and a black pullover hoodie (can’t even remember the brand, I think this was a bargain find from Marshall’s a couple of years ago). The new Seychelles booties and my old black backpack, and the McQueen red butterfly scarf finish things off.

I decided to pull out one of my mom’s old pins today. Even though I’m already pattern mixing and have ALGO in the top of the outfit, I like the little touch of silver. Even if no one else can see it, I like it. I’m also wearing a silver leaf/wing motif ring (Gaudi-inspired and bought in Barcelona almost 12 years ago).

Even though this isn’t overtly festive, the red nods to the holiday season, and it’s more dressed up than if I just ran to the store in my running gear.
