Not many outfit posts lately as I’ve still been a bit overwhelmed with home and rental renovations and projects, and some work presentations and projects as well. But I liked yesterday’s outfit so I took a quick photo. I’ve worn a variation of this before, but I like the new version.
I posted recently about the DL1961 Coco jeans, and I liked the fit of the very dark blue ones I got from Nordstrom, but I didn’t love the very dark, sort of flat wash with the yellow stitching, so I investigated the other washes, thanks to Amazon Prime Wardrobe. Six versions later, I’ve found two I really like. So much so that I cut the tags on this pair — the Colorado — and wore them yesterday. I like that the overall impression is still a dark wash but there is more variation in it — you can see the threads if you know what I mean. My husband hit the nail on the head when he said the flat dark blue washes with yellow stitching remind him of the old Jordache jean look LOL.
I also like the Pacific wash in the DL1961 jeans, and found another wash in the AG Harper jeans, which I like very much — without the obvious whiskering. I may post photos later if I have a hard time deciding. I think I could keep two pairs because I just eliminated three old, worn-out pairs of jeans from my closet.
On to the WIW: Coco jeans, Veronica Beard striped knit moto, a navy and white color block top from years ago, navy metallic Superga sneakers, and silver Milly tote. High happiness factor, and good for the occasion as I had an event to attend last night in which I was a presenter (casual arty crowd at a gallery — bonus is that the gallery owner hates photography and shows exactly one photographer a year, and is now interested in showing my work!).
