Next week I'll do my best to follow torontogirl's no jeans challenge : it will be hard (but instructive) for me. Dark wash bootcut jeans are my wardrobe staples, and they are so versatile for my lifestyle that I could wear them every single day.
Before jumping in, I wanted to share these two outfits with you as an assessment of the situation before the challenge. I wore both outfits to work this week, and they both feature those dark-wash bootcut jeans I will avoid next week.
Outfit #1 is on the casual end of my workwear spectrum : black collarless blazer, black and white blouse with an abstract print, black ankle boots and my black bag.
I accessorized it with an artisanal pearl and leather necklace and small silver hoop earrings.
For outfit #2, I decided to wear the traditional Austrian jacket I had previously mentioned on this forum. You all considered it appropriate even if I now live far away from the mountains it originates from, and it boosted my confidence! Thank you!
I wore it with a basic black tee (not visible as the jacket looks better closed), nude pumps and a white and taupe colorblock bag. I added my leopard scarf to break the tyrolean vibe, and gold ear studs to echo the jacket buttons.
I also noticed that my outfits usually feature very neutal color palettes. Maybe I should do a color challenge too!
Thank you for looking, I'm eager to read your thoughts and comments!
