I've been so happy to see bootcuts and wider legs available at retail. I'm resisting the urge to stock up as my fitness took a nosedive last year with some injuries and a hectic travel schedule. Thankfully, Nordic ski season has been good thus far and I'm finally getting back into fitting some old favorites, along with my new cashmere haul from Christmas.

1) Out running errands - new "black cherry" cashmere with my resuscitated denim trousers that weren't PPL until I put in a facing to get an extra 1.5" of hem. Now they are perfect and Angie-approved. I finally wore a scarf I picked up last spring. Pre-YLF I would never have worn such disparate tones of burgundy (raspberry stripe in scarf, bluish-red sweater, burgundy boots) but now I think it works. I may chop the fringe off the scarf per old YLF posts, because that may be why I have not worn this scarf.

2) Casual family dining out - My first every long cardi - navy cashmere with fun sleeve ties that aren't too much. And grey Prana jeans. Also my first wear of the William Morris print t-shirt (love the print, but it is not a petite, so the fit is a bit off and I may need to perform surgery to take up the shoulder). And trying a new to me style on the 'do I'm awkwardly growing out. Ideas?

3/4) Channeling kellygirl - I tried a couple of belts with my cardigan because I liked the look so much on her recent long sweater WIW. I don't have much of a belt collection - what would look better? Maybe a gunmetal or dark grey for lower contrast? As a shortwaisted and short person, I struggle with this but am trying to be open minded.

5/6) Sadly, melting fast but still stunning. I get to live in a beautiful world. Happy New Year everyone. Thanks for being such a great community. I welcome feedback.
