WIW - a Shoptoberfest purchase and NAS coat

It's quite chilly here today so I broke out the dark green coated skinnies MaryK found at Marshall's - they're Hudson's and I really like them but need to have the waist taken in.

I also bought a navy silk Equipment tunic and almost wore it today but decided to give my old silk navy blouse (BCBG) a try to see if I should stick with the old one & return the Equipment one. I dunno, this one is ok but I think I like the new one better, even though I rarely ever like tunic lengths on me. If any ladies who were there and saw the Equipment top on me see this and chime in, I welcome your opinion.

I am thrilled to debut the Trina Turk military coat I bought at NAS. Between this and the JCrew pea coat, I am hugging my coat closet today!

I never did see you in that tunic length top, but the one you have is certainly nice. I am crushing on that TT military coat big time! I'm so glad you kept it!

In my screen the photo comes a bit too dark to see the green of the pants but both the fit of the pants and the jacket look divine on you.

The scarf is obscuring a good view of the shirt, but anyway I saw the Equipment tunic in person and you can't go wrong with that.

The coat is beautiful! Since I'm here anyway, can I add about the coat, tying in with your aran-style sweater and slim pants, that this is all projecting an updated mod Sixties vibe that's totally cool and fab?

Janet, I like the Equipment tunic 1000% more. I think the Equipment looks a bit fresher and drapes nicely. They are both really nice, though.

It got so cold today here too. I'm wearing a wool coat too. Yikes. Looking awesome in that tailored peacoat.

Equipment tunic by a mile!

That coat is absolutely fantastic - the green isn't coming through on my monitor for the jeans, but since I have seen them, the whole look looks so fab in my imagination!

I love that coat on you! It's very flattering, although of course the black is harder to see than brighter colors in pictures.
I have that same coat and love it. I took mine to Nordstrom to have them stitch down the back pleat a few inches and make it look less like a bustle in the back, and I'm really happy with how that turned out. I don't know whether yours does the same thing on you or not.
