I’m out and about today for some errands and wanted to dress in real clothes again. I actually started building this outfit from the ground up — I wanted to wear these boots and went from there. I ended up with a mix of moody plum-burgundy colors, pulled together with the McQueen scarf. The bright red is the most prominent color in the scarf, but I find it works well with this palette also once you look at the colors in the print. I tried to show the colors better in the closeup.

The bag is not my favorite — it collapses in on itself a bit, and the strap is thin and I don’t always want a patterned strap so a guitar strap didn’t work for me with today’s outfit. But it’s my only burgundy bag and goes perfectly with enough outfits that I keep it. It’s also a good size for holding all my necessities.

The jacket is a very dark and somewhat cool brown, which appears black in some light.
