Last week I posted about my everyday winter uniform of jeans and turtleneck sweater. Here’s two more variations (#1+2) and a monochromatic outfit I wore for the last Bridge Night of 2024 (#3). It might work for the tonal challenge, though I think of tonal as either ranging from light to dark in a monochromatic colour scheme (pink, red, burgundy) or as blending with another colour adjacent (red, plum, purple) but that might be splitting hairs over semantics.
I like the pale blue beret as a bookend to the pale blue jeans. Also, a few folks asked about the black quilted shacket style coat. Yes. It’s new. I got it as a liner coat for layering - but it’s been perfect for the transitional weather we’re having.
When DH saw what I was wearing to Bridge Night, he decided to ‘dress up’ too, and donned a button down and a Christmas tie. It’s a rather subtle tie with a tiny holly leaf and berry motif in green and red on a navy background. Well! Someone from every couple who sat down to play with us commented on his tie!
