A voluminous dark navy cotton shirt dress came home with me after I did some shopping during a Florida vacation earlier this year. I wore it once during the vacation, when we visited a botanical garden, and once as a swim cover-up. My plan is to use it as a breezy ‘house dress’ - but when temps warmed up a little - but not enough to wear it on it’s own, I decided to pair it with pants.
#1 was for all day Tuesday, though I switched out sneakers for yellow sling backs for Bridge night (cards) at the community center. #2 was today’s outfit, which included running errands.
The shoulders, collar, and sleeves of this garment fit so well! I sometimes have a problem with open shirt styles pulling towards the back (if that makes any sense!) but this one fits and sits in place. I only wish the front was a little longer (over the knee). The hem is high/low and the back length is perfect. The volume gives it some ‘swish’ factor - which just makes me happy for no real reason!
