Paperwork is my mother’s kryptonite! All her life, she has let the men-folk in her life deal with household financial matters. When she became a widow, I did the tax stuff, and a trusted friend of my mother’s who did bookkeeping for a church, helped with the day to day - for a modest fee.

Last spring mom relocated from a retirement home in a Big City to a retirement home in the town where I live, and now I get to be her secretary. Fortunately, organizing and managing paperwork is my superpower.

Today was ‘part 2’ of tax time - ‘part 1’ having occurred 2 weeks ago. I knew I would likely be sitting on the floor, sorting papers - so dressed for comfort! Joggers, a cozy sweater, my new cropped trench, a beanie, and the LePliage to contain the files!

I can report that I was comfortable - and that the afternoon was a success!

Note: I tried to capture the ‘swing’ silouhette of the trench (see pic #4) but my outfit photos don’t do it justice. It’s styled to be oversized, and looks very cool in motion!
