I think about all four, with lowest emphasis on Shine. And Proportion is important to me also - how much of “this” vs “that” and I include Shape as an aspect of Proportion too.

I do love glitter and sequins, patent not so much. Just have fewer occasions to wear that type of stuff. I like to add a bit of lurex in sweaters and sox.

First of all, love the look! I am trying to decide if I think about CPTS and I am leaning toward no. I do mess around with my outfits but more in an emotional way and probably mostly focused on proportion and the overall feel. I have noticed that I am more interested in and open to shine as I get older. I will think about this more when I get dressed.

This is a gorgeous look--those pants are beautiful (and versatile!) and all of the details work so well together. I definitely think about color, pattern, and texture usually, but don't do much in the way of shine other than jewelry, typically. But it's a fun analytical exercise to try to pull together outfits that manage to nail all four categories!

This is a gorgeous outfit. Love the colour palette! I would feel so loud with leather pants or leopard, let alone both -- yet the overall effect here is chic and subdued. Brava! Taking notes.

I am very picky about colour and pattern, and seem to have less and less of both in my wardrobe, though what I do have I truly love. I am very drawn to texture and add a lot of it unconsciously. Chunky knits, cables, corduroy, ribbing, nubby raw silk and linen, etc. Shine is hard because it's often impractical (satin, patent) and I stopped wearing jewelry altogether over the past two years. Love the idea of puffers as a shiny element! Definitely hanging onto that thought.

Gorgeous outfit, Carla! I have leopard print footwear on my wish list. The pattern works well with your hair and skin.

I think about colour and texture when I put outfits together. I rarely wear patterns. I do wear jewellery, which adds colour, texture and shine.

I have a major sugar eye for white shirts (my next challenge) but a C-P-T-S analysis showed me why I don’t wear them more often: Most of mine don’t check off ANY of those boxes! A couple have a bit of texture, but otherwise I need to find color, pattern, texture, and shine elsewhere in my outfit. More work! I think that also explains why my textured items are more likely to get worn, plus I think extra smooth fabric highlights my facial wrinkles due to the contrast.

This outfit is fabulous Carla and as always I'm in awe of your relaxed discipline in constantly building on your learning and style strategies!!

I don't use this formula which might explain a lot lol ... My colours tend to be neutral, I don't wear a ton of pattern, my only shine tends to be simple jewellery, and I mostly wear cotton maybe I need to try this!!?
