Almost half way into a 10 day vacation on the island of Providenciales, Turks and Caicos. DH and I are staying at a ‘resort’ that allows for free range adventuring and the community is safe and welcoming. The sun rises at 6 am, and it is full dark by 6 pm. We have attuned to rising with the sun, and fall into bed physically exhausted by 9 pm!

The morning is spent in exercise and adventuring, followed by 3-4 hours at the beach. After getting cleaned up, we eat out, or use the BBQ’s set up for guests to use - and enjoy dinner on our balcony - with dessert or a nightcap at the small beachfront bistro afterwards.

Daytime temps range from 76-80degF and nighttime 73-78degF.

#1 and #2 - these cool cotton button downs (old) and technical fabric shorts(new) are practical for morning adventures.
#3, #4-5 - are what I wear at the beach. #3 is ‘old’ at 12+ years and I wore it the first day and it’s now retired, since I found it thin and unsupportive. #4-5 is new (bought for this trip). The top comes in ‘bra sizes’, is structured (light underwire and side boning) and comes with padding (which I removed.) Although the fabric feels substantial, it dries fast which surprised me. As a result, I’m wearing it every day instead of rotating with the older one. Though #4-5 is a ‘vacation’ suit, I spend a lot of time in the water, and actually swim laps along the buoy line. The adjustable straps worn criss-cross provide support and stability.
#6, #7, and #8 are what I’ve worn in the pm. #7 was a pleasant surprise when I co-opted a pair of exercise shorts to wear with a cotton sweater. (I remembered the bicycle short trend of last summer, and thought ‘what the heck!’).

Haven’t had to do laundry yet, though I’ve been through all the tops. I have a few more tricks/styling hacks up my sleeve!

Thanks for looking!
