Hi Hil,
My heart really sank when I read your post about it being the day before you were due to finish up work, and the way that your employers have responded since your resignation.
Well, I really wished we weren't in different parts of the world, so that we could have all gotten together and given you a proper farewell from work.
But as we can't do that I thought about how I know you here on YLF and how Hil on the Forum would translate to Hil in the workplace. What would I want to say if you were my colleague and you were leaving??
So here it is:
Hil, I am going to miss your warm smile and your wonderful sense of fun. I admire how you demonstrated commitment to your job and often went over and above what was required. You always tried to maintain a positive attitude and operate with a spirit of grace. I wish you well for the future and know that whatever you choose to do, you will do it 100% and be very successful. Your contribution to the organisation has been invaluable and you will no be easy to replace. xxx
I do hope that your last day went well and if words such as these were not expressed, they should have been. Sadly there are some environments where we are not appreciated as we should be, but know that here at YLF we will always value and care for you.
xxx Deborah
