Late to the party but figured entering with another "that dress looks beautiful on you!" helps offset the tardiness.
I know "classic" is used a bit differently around here, but that is a classic silhouette in many cultures and thus to me ageless. Wear and enjoy!
While I get what you and Suz are saying about the fabric vs the season's light and temperatures, the dress colors mix light and dark well enough to be used as a bridge between the seasons if you want to layer a bit with darker or brighter tones.
