Lord and Taylor Cashmere turtles – bottle green winner of the bunch, wore to death. Purple wasn’t the right choice. Doesn’t play with skin so well (which really hit home when I was interviewed on the news and saw it and me up close and personal) and really never wore it. Looks fine with wardrobe just not the best for next to my face, should have bought a black one instead. Bought the smaller of the two sizes and loved it for its warmth. Perfect for depths of winter with a topper but not so much for spring in that it shows bulges. Great buy, wash and wear well, comfy and cozy. Very glad I bought the smaller size.

Lord and Taylor Black sweater toggle coat – pilled horribly and would not have been worth the money except for the fact that it is wonderfully warm and cozy and I never took it off and will continue to do so until it falls apart. Sadly I do believe it is frumpy.

Talbots Red riding blazer – while the fit is off in the waist and can’t be fixed by a tailor and I don’t really like the feel of the fabric it was a good buy. I have always planned on wearing it as one would a denim jacket outdoors and this will do the work. Wore it a few times over the winter but will definitely get lots of wear out of it as a denim jacket.

Le Chateau Black skinnies – not warm enough for winter. They add a different vibe to outfits and things seem not as dated with up-to-date pants. Good buy, wear a lot all seasons but really do need warmer winter pants. Need some fine tuning fit wise.

Melanie Lyne Houndstooth pants – love, love, love them and wore them to death. Not warm enough winter pants but wore them anyway. Need some fine tuning fit wise. While I thought these loud when I bought them I now don’t at all.

Cashmere and wool socks – three different brands of socks and only one pair make the grade. McGregor are too large and slip off my feet plus they are fussy to wash. The pricey Italian cashmere pair are ankle length which is just too short for our winters and too thin to be warm. They fit like a dream though. Forget brand of -70 degree socks. Gorgeous, wash and wear beautifully but just too thick to comfortably wear in shoes. Wore them to death though. Wash like a dream.

Ralph Lauren red wool gloves – they are nearly a perfect fit, soft, comfortable, warmer than they appear, shaped like a hand, fit easily into a purse so I just kept them there since the day I bought them and haven’t lost one of them. Well worth the money. Didn’t wear the parkhurst ones hardly at all after I started wearing these. Like the bright pop of red against my black coats.

Pearl earrings – Bought 4 pair dangly pearl earrings since the studs were such a success. Not sure of this. Will have to review further.

Oversized green watch – adore. Still looking for a “good” version of an oversize watch. The green one is still in working order as I only wear it out of the house. Need major water resistant and shock proof for all around wear.

A very good season even though not all of the purchases were spot on. Was much warmer and more comfortable than usual. Felt appropriately dressed and more stylish than in the past.
