Winter pick me ups (via new makeup products)

I have not shopped for clothes in months (even since my last post outlining my analysis since taking a shopping hiatus) - but I ran out of a few mekeup products and had to run to Sephora. I love trying new products and when the makeup artist did a look for me, he used two products that followed me home. I wanted to share them with you since they are making a big impact to freshen up my cold weather look.

NARS orgasm blush: I heard all about it for ages, and now I am singing the same praise I read online. It is wonderful! It gives a rosy glow and I heard it flatters nearly every skin tone. It's amazing what a small change in blush color did for my appearance, now I look refreshed and awake (or at least I tell myself that, haha, I am toddler wrangling every day after all).

DIOR Addict Lip Glow: I never would have tried this product on my own. I have highly pigmented lips and usually anything light in the tube just simply does not show up on my lips. But the makeup artist explained it has some magical (albeit expensive) properties that adjust to each persons lip color, making it YLBB (your lips but better). This is a holy grail product for me. I don't like the feel of a heavy lipstick, nor the goopiness of a gloss. I prefer a light, sheer, yet moisturizing lip product. THIS IS IT for me!! I am in lurrve and want to go buy 100 tubes so I never run out, ever.

i love dior lipstick, but haven't tried this color....its on my list now. i fact, i think i'll use the $15 coupon sephora send me to try it!

Thistle, thanks - I agree, it's fun to refresh without adding clothing, and I love that I can enjoy and appreciate these lifts on a daily basis. My makeup routine is super short, these are 2 of 5 products I use for every day, so they are making a huge difference.

kkards, let me know if you like it. I hope you do. I find it stays on well and for once, I actually want to reapply. Usually I'm reapplying once in the afternoon, so two applications during the day. It stays on remarkably well, too.

I want to try the Dior lip product - have had it on my radar for awhile now. And with regards to Orgasm, funny, i had it on yesterday and caught a reflection of myself in harsh daylight in my car's rear-view mirror, and I swear that blush is only good for summer on me. The shimmer is just way too pronounced, and I was mildly horrified at how it looked. I've had it for years and love the colour itself, and the lipgloss is fantastic, but I wish they would make the blush shimmer-free for us old people .

lisap, it was the harsh daylight! That can make anything look horrid. (Said as I go running to check my reflection to make sure I'm not totally off base with loving this product for myself for winter, haha)

Try the lip product, I think you will like it if you are after what i described, a sheer color that improves your own natural lip color.
