I liked Mexico’s uniforms, with Day of the Dead images.

Oh I’ve meaning to mention this … I love the Netherlands colours! … I think they’re orange and brown, but feel I could be wrong about the brown.

Also: I really liked the little snowflake signs the escorts were carrying. Creative! And the lightstick dance!

Who wrote this list?! I am in complete disagreement. I hate the US uniforms, and the Italian ones were only slightly less ridiculous than their teletubby ones from the summer olympics:

The best were all the Scandinavians! I am having a hard time finding photos online, unfortunately... had to be there! I stayed up past my bedtime for these outfits!

For me, Echo, it was the super-random drawstring waistband on the jackets. Why?

But you're right, when it comes to uniforms, I'm sorry, Ralph Lauren't take has always been tired. (I will say, though Armani's Italian uniforms are proof that he should retire, those uniforms are NOT tired!)

And JAileen, any best-dressed list for the opening ceremony that didn't include Mexico has just got it wrong!

Lesley - Yes, the young Mexican skater, Donovan Carillo, was certainly the charmer of the men's competition. My husband and I also liked the red jacket he wore after he finished his short program. And I certainly liked Jason Brown's costume and program.

Though I'll disagree and say I like the US team wear! Some of the sweaters and hats especially. Here's my boi Jason again in his gear.

And the Chinese short track suits and helmets.

I didn't watch the Opening Ceremony but have seen a bit of the snowboarding and skiiing events.

Aotearoa/NZ wear black and it can look wonderful - on the rugby field, even on the athletics track.

But I think it is pretty boring at the winter olympics. I do like the Chinese jackets with the dragon.....and the Canadian snowboarders looked awesome.

Unpopular Opinion: I don't like Opening Ceremonies and because of Covid and the competitive nature of events - lots of athletes don't attend them any more.
