Freed & Freed has been in Winnipeg for many years , and when we were finishing up our Clothing & Textiles degrees from the University of Manitoba in the early 80's, a few of my fellow graduates went on to intern at F&F. Of course, they weren't manufacturing then what they are today in terms of luxury goods, but have always maintained a reputation as one of the best outerwear producers in the world.
Take a look at what Marissa Freed has cooked up for Fall 2014. All coats have zip-out down linings and natural fur sourced ethically. I am in love with Vancouver (I love a bracelet sleeve in a coat - even this iteration), followed by the WInnipegger , of course (I also love a pink coat). Are these not stunning? The prices are a little out of my usual range, but I am seriously considering one if I can get to a Holt's before Christmas!
