Winding down the Airstream adventures

I’m sharing a few pics from the final stretch of our big Airstream adventures — six weeks of exploring some of the most beautiful and fascinating parts of the US, in the books!

Oh I love these, especially 16, with the dogs relaxing on their beds. Our dogs would have run off, chasing a lizard or something.

Janet, we have a pair of leads and anchors that we can use to keep the dogs from running off when we are hanging around camp. Sunny stays pretty close to us, but Woody is a wild card and a bit of a doofus, so he would be the one to chase a rabbit for miles and forget to come back!

The dogs on their camp beds! What a wonderful holiday, you are such an artist, these must be the most fabulous holiday snaps ever! The portrait of DH and dogs in #18 is a beautiful photo and one to treasure.

Aw, thanks, everyone! It was such a great experience. We spent a couple of days at the ranch (pics below) and are now in our last big driving day back to Maryland. Looking forward to being home!

Love your photos. Did you have to plan on where to park your airstream? I've always loved the idea of RVing on a cross country road trip but the idea of where to park was a deterrent.

We debated leaving it at the ranch in TX, but decided we’d rather have it here at home in case we get an urge to get out of town and head somewhere warmer this winter for a few days. Ideally, we’d like to have it at the house, but our driveway is not quite adequate to keep it here. We found a storage place about 8 miles away that we can rent month-to-month, and we are thinking of putting a temporary gravel parking pad in our yard for it (our yard is mostly hidden from public view so hopefully the HOA has no objections — I’m on the HOA board now so I’d better make sure we are in compliance, LOL!). It’s definitely a challenging aspect to RV ownership!
