Will these work on an adorable apple?

I've put these three tops into my wish list at Nordie's and would like some feedback as to whether or not you see them working on an apple shape. They are petite (which I am) but it's more the "tummy accentuating" issues I'm wondering about. I do think they are all tops that can take me well into spring.

Shannon, I just bought a very similar top to #2 at ATL, and I LOVE it. I am more of a pearish, Michelin man, myself......you know, bigger tummy. Maybe that is the Pillsbury dough boy ?

Either way, YES, I think that those will all look lovely on you !

You could tuck or belt #2, or otherwise wear it with a slim pencil skirt or skinny jeans. Wearing a jacket or vest over it would also resolve the width issue because it would give you the illusion of a waist. It is the trickiest of the lot though. It will require some finessing.

I like the cropped jacket and the color, something about the lack of lapels gives me pause though.

They are all very cute! They can all work. #1 for sure; #2 and #3 depends on how short they are I think and what you pair them with.

I really like #1 and #3 and I think they will look very nice on you. Seems to be the kind of colors you will wear well. You better order them before they run out - only one size left so they might be running out.

I also noticed that Only Mine V-neck cashmere sweaters are on sale but I don't see any in navy.

They are all gorgeous - the second & third blouses will work especially well, considering your self-conscious tummy issue. I think the first will be very form-fitting, but will look funky and awesome in all its striped glory.

Ack! I'm no longer a Nordie's virgin! I ordered the Vince Camuto striped top and the Halogen pussy bow blouse! Didn't proceed with the orange blouse or the jacket...at least not at this point.

So much for SYC!

I am an apple and would probably wear all three. If my blouses ride up too high, I wear a long cami underneath. I like the way the pussybow tops are not high in the neck which I tend to avoid because it makes me look busty and accentuates my front part. I like the way the stripes go in different directions so it probably wouldn't emphasise the tummy as much.

I don't think you'd look pregnant in the orange blouse, but sometimes those crazy hemlines can emphasize certain things we'd rather not draw attention to.

Yay! I think they'll look great on you! I wear pussy bow blouses like that all the time (mostly tucked into pencil skirts), and I have the Bailey 44 dress which is similar to that top. Can't wait to see you in those pieces!
