Will the R & B Dres stretch a lot?

I ordered my usual size, and I think they are keepers UNLESS they stretch out a lot. I don't think I want to go down a size...they'd be too tight in the legs. Thoughts?

This is a question I need to ask as well. I haven't cut the tags on mine. I like them a lot, but if they stretch out too much....well...not so good.

Do you have the burgundy or blue ones? Mine are the burgundy.

Suz, I have the burgundy ones. So pretty but SO wrinkled! And badly packaged, on a broken hanger in a torn bag. Normally I'd be upset but I'll cut Nordstrom some slack at this busy time. Not cutting the tags off mine yet either.

So interesting...I don't think mine are terribly wrinkled. But Carter said the same as you. I'm going to have to examine mine more carefully!

There were some very odd delivery issues this year. I got my Aquatalia boots from Connecticut and they were supposed to be coming from Vancouver! Meanwhile they charged me full CAD price instead of sale price (but I got that fixed, fortunately.)

If these are the same fabric blend as the pair I purchased last fall, then yes they will stretch. I bought the smaller of my two sizes and was very glad I did as they stretched about a full size with wear.

The tag/web site states they are the same fabric content as last year's version but I have not seen them in person to do the feel test.

I was wondering the same thing (just got a pair myself) so I went ahead and ordered the size down while they still have them - my regular size was a bit too roomy feeling, like "needing a belt" roomy. I do like my pants to feel comfortable and not at all tight so I'm going to have to wait and see. The last time I sized down (deep olive Big Star jeans) I sort of regretted it because now they seem a bit tight and I can't return since I bought direct as it was the only way to get the color I wanted - I waited too long to decide.

I decided to keep in my regular size as I will always wear with a belt anyway.

Thanks Suz, I was hoping you'd see this and chime in. I'm going to try the other size just because I need to know and already ordered (free returns) but I love the lightweight feeling of these and the dark brownish burgundy color. They are long of course so that needs to be addressed. I wish I were a better seamstress.

Me, too. This is such an easy alteration if you have a machine, which I do not. Luckily I have a good person to do the job but of course it adds to the cost.

The weight of these is perfect for your climate. Less than perfect for mine, but I figure I can wear them all but a few months a year (in the coldest winter).

If I size down, they will be too tight in the thighs, I think. Currently the waist is perfect. If it stretches a full size, these will be an expensive mistake. Hoping others will chime in with their experiences.

If the waist is perfect, it's probably the right size. The waist in mine was not perfect and there is some extra material on the back side and in the legs so hoping the size down works for me. By the way my "size down" is really more like my "real" size since I almost always buy a 10 when I really am a size 8 because I like the roominess and comfort factor so much. But when the size up is a bit too roomy, it can feel awkward when sitting down, etc.
