Will Fernanda's Guess denim shirt fit me?

According to the size chart, I am probably a size L (due to bust)! Will that make it way too big everywhere else? I am still SYC, but hoping it will go on sale in the next few weeks, maybe.

I have 3 Guess items in small that are snug. Sometimes I take an xs in other brands to give you an idea. One is my pink missoni esque sweater dress and the other 2 are jackets and coats. I actually split the lining in the wool overcoat! So it does run small.

Mo, thanks! I've tried Guess stuff too, and I have a good idea of your size since I saw you in my wrap dress. I think I'm shorter and bustier. But maybe if it runs small, a large would work?

I find to be Guess to cut not only small, but also more like juniors' than misses', which works for some body types and not for others. So I guess my question would be: can you normally wear juniors' brands? They work on me, for instance, but I think it's because I am not busty and have small shoulders relative to the rest of my body.

PS. I guess it also depends on how picky you are about sleeve fit and things like that. I really need torsos and sleeves to fit me closely, which is why (if I were you) I'd be concerned about a L, but if you're not that concerned, I'd imagine it would be fine.

I was very disappointed this winter when I tried on a Guess coat. The M was waaaay too small, but the L was a bit big and loose. Very odd. (I have broad shoulders/big bust.) Of course, the shirts may fit differently.

I am quite flummoxed that you are possibly a size L in Guess! I can't imagine that a large wouldn't fit you--you seem so itty bitty in your pics--but perhaps you should order it and see what's what. Crazy junior sizing--where are the IT-friendly clothes, I want to know? <stomps foot>

Good point about the shoulders - that is where the Guess stuff fits tightest, even on me who has no trouble with shoulder fit normally. That is exactly where the seams came open in the lining of my wool coat and everywhere else fits just fine.

I haven't worn Guess since 10 lbs ago but even then I was always a large in their tops. I agree that Guess sizing is very fitted and more in line with junior apparel.

Thanks! This is the problem with woven shirts in general for me; I want to look like Fernanda does in her shirt, but it just doesn't happen. Jonesy, I really am not that big, but in junior sizing I'm a 9 in tops (and I'm "only" a 34C, but my shoulders are wide)... Sigh.
