Gorgeous! what a great find, and it sounds perfect for the show. I especially like both pairs of sandals with it, but agree with others that all footwear options work really well with it.
Thanks everyone! Looks like the dress can stay and that the black boots are the forum favorite.
Angie, I think "elegantly edgy" is the perfect way to describe this dress!
Thinking about mild winter layering...since the shoulders will get crushed in any type of jacket, would it work to layer a long sleeve under? What color?
Woo hoo, it's fantastic! It suits you beautifully! I love it the most with the black booties--somehow they balance the drama of the dress and of course bookend with your hair. YLF! This dress is going to turn some heads, so be ready when you wear it out for the first time :)!
Waited for this post AJ-and didn't dissapoint-a glorious dress and looks fab on you!! And to answer it short:-ALL shoes work, love them with boots and the metallic loafer the most for a reason!!! YLF2F!:-)
AJ, I'm thinking a cocoon coat or cape-like coat could work over the dress without wrinkling the sleeves? But also like the idea of something long-sleeved underneath. All kinds of colours could work in my opinion: purple, pink, cream, ink or navy, burgundy, magenta, olive for a tonal effect, other shades of green too. Do post pics if you try this?
AJ, my GG jacket has a Levi’s tag. No GG branding at all. I suspect that part of the agreement to appear on the show was surrendering licensing rights to the show for any winning designs created while filming. Hence the Making the Cut label. A little bit of a bummer for the designers (I say this as an artist acutely aware of IP rights and licensing agreements) but I hope the royalties are generous to the designers!
Wow, stunning - the fit is absolutely perfect. Slight preference for the strappy sandal options on a purely visual basis, but whichever ones suit the occasion would work well in my book.
