...or, What I "didn't" wear. I have this old Kenji sweater vest that I bought from Anthropologie sometime before 2013. I have not worn it in at least 3 years... It used to have belt loops and a braided belt, but on my long torso the belt fell just below my bra strap, so I cut it off long ago... Every fall I unpack it from the 'winter' box, and every spring I pack it away (unworn) again.

Today, I had planned to pair it with a chocolate turtleneck, hi-rise straight leg jeans and my Thursday boots. But, when I put it on it was Just. Not. Right.  Today, I tried a regular belt (well, 3 belts) over it, but the belt(s) kept shifting around. I tried it open over a tee; the look was only so-so, and too cold for today's weather. I tried it over corduroy joggers, thinking a lower rise might help, but no matter what I tried, I just could not get it to work.

No matter how soft and fluffy it is, and no matter how much I loved it when I bought it, it was good to actually *realize* that it does not serve me anymore. I happily put my vest in the donate bag, without hesitation.
