Wide leg keepers?

The BR jeans arrived today! They are crazy comfortable, but do they look good enough to keep? It's not often I wear full length jeans. They're not a high rise on me, definitely more of a mid-rise. Went for the 30" inseam to wear with flat shoes. If anything, I was hoping they'd be a bit wider at the hem. Not styled here, just tried on with the rest of today's outfit. What say you, YLF?

SUPER comfy, right? I wonder if you need a size up? They are wider on me, and shorter. Longer in the rise too - but I am short in the rise. I'd try them on to show you - but they are wet after laundry. Wore them all weekend, I love them so much.

These should be shorter on you too! Like the model. No break line. (I will split hairs about lengths!) Or maybe I need to see them styled with the right shoes?

I have those jeans too. I wore them all weekend and they are very comfortable. They are not as high as the Jesse Kamm ones but they are higher than my other jeans.

Angie, yes, the same. Added find to the OP. I tried the size up and was swimming in them, and they feel like they'll relax over the course of a day. I'm not excited about the idea of hemming -- was thinking they were meant to be full length?

My feet are 10" long at least (longer if the shoes I'm wearing have any point or taper in the toes) so it takes a pretty wide hem to look wide on me. And if I hem, I'll lose even more width at the bottom.

I think what I want is a more of a flare, but all the flares I've tried are too "curvy": fitted upper legs and only flaring below the knee. These are straight all the way down, which is not really what I want either. I miss the circa-2000 "trouser jeans"!

La Ped, may I suggest you try this in a 25 Regular - did you order a 25 Short? It doesn't come in a 0P! I know you aren't thrilled about hemming, but the rise will be higher and the width greater in the regular size. Look how much longer the rise is on Style Fan in the regular length.

I've been on a similar quest for wide-legs and/or trouser jeans -- I had a pair of Gap trouser jeans circa 2008 or so and wore them threadbare! I bought these same BR jeans, and I think they are my new favorites. They're also just mid-rise on me -- 3 fingers below the navel. I bought the "regular" length, and mine look wider on -- even with my size 11 feet. Maybe the shorter length is just lopped off higher up, leaving less width at the hem?

For a truly high rise, I'll recommend Levi's ribcage wide-legs. Though unfortunately the only length options (on the Levi's site, where they also have a light wash version not available elsewhere) are 32" and 34".

If these were shorter, would they hang straighter? I am all for comfy jeans, but something looks off and I can’t articulate what it is.

I am with you on the hunt for a great trouser jean. Where did they all go?!?

Have you tried the Gap flares that Janet picked up recently? They look more flare-like without the dreaded thigh-cling.

I’m confused by these on you . They don’t look like the same jeans ! Not at all as wide legged or high waisted as I expected . Weird . I’m so tempted to get them but last week I swore I am not in the market for new denim .

I don’t think these are right for you La Ped. I have never seen your legs look kind of stumpy in any other pants so I don’t understand why they do in these. The fabric looks floppy too.
Also I think you meant OP for original post, didn’t you? Not 0P as Angie thought( zero petite I am guessing).

Ok, I think the visuals are confusing things a bit. 1. Camera angle. 2. No footwear.

I also think they are betwixt and between in length -- not quite short enough for the new trendy length Angie is talking about, and not quite long enough for full length on LaPed.
