There has been so much discussion of culottes and similar silhouettes, I thought I'd do a separate post on these pants. I feel quite Mary Tyler Moore in them. Sorry I did not Iron them when they obviously need it.

I think the length and fit are pretty good on me (but please feel free to differ and let me know). They are a regular size 4. i am 5"4" with longer legs for my height. These would definitely not be pants to wear with flats. I tried a high-ish heel boot and a mid-heel boot and the higher one was definitely better.

This is kind of a J Crew super-set with a few different versions.

First couple are the J Crew Jackie leopard twinset with red Zara boots (that are unfortunately hurting my feet so I can't wear them till my arthritic toe decides to chill out).

Then I tried it with an older burgundy Tippi sweater, little paisley scarf and Topshop booties.I think the pants are better with a more cropped length of top (this sweater is a bit long) and higher heeled booties.

Finally I put the plush vest over -- it's a good color match but the shape combination is not good.

Anyway I hope this helps anyone who's giving wide pants a bash. Let me know your thoughts here, and how yours work out for you.
