Wide Calf Cognac Boots Recs - opposite of goldenpig!!!

Opposite of goldenpig, I need some recommendations for super wide calf cognac boots. I prefer real leather and cognac color is a must.

I had chosen the Duo Gravina boots but now they are sold out in my size and their website says they are not going to receive any more, I am so bummed. Ziller is another option but I am not sure about the buckles around the calf drawing more attention to my plump calves.

I checked widewidths.com but did not see anything that struck my fancy, not a lot available in the cognac color there.

I will be in the USA to shop next week - in Chicago - and plan on going to Nordstrom. Am open to other stores too.

Which Chicago Nordies will you be at? What's your calf measurement? I've tried on a bunch of boots at Nordies and might be able to give you some ideas, but it depends on your measurments.

I will be at the Michigan Ave Nordies but I will have a car so if I need to go elsewhere I can.

I am 5ft 5in tall and wear size 16-18 pants and my calf measures a whopping 18.5 inches. Therein lies the problem.

Hoping I can find something. I had my heart set on the duo boots. I appreciate the information and recs!

Frustrating, isn't it? I hope you can find something.

How about a boot that includes some kind of stretch panel? Not that I have any suggestions on that score. It seems easier to find good looking black ones of that type.

Michigan Ave has a fab shoe department, and they carry lots of different sizes. I would just go in and ask your salesperson to bring out anything/everything that might suit your needs and then try everything on! Sometimes they have other things in the back room that are not on the website.

Other than Nordstrom do you guys have any other store recommendations?

I think I will try Nordies and any other stores you might mention. Please keep the ideas coming.

If I do not find a pair that fits I guess the Duo Ziller will be my Plan B, provided they stay in stock...cross your fingers for me.

OMG I share your pain! I have been looking for a pair of real leather, cognac boots, in a 17" calf (extra wide calf) for less thsan $200, and finally found my holey grail. I haven't taken pics of an outfit in them yet, but her is a link to them on zappos. They are by Bandolino, and I highly recommend them! They are gorgeous quality, and very comfortable.

I previously bought these and they were gorgeous too! Unfortunately the calf isn't as wide as advertised. But if you have a 16" calf, they make work great on you.

Just wanted to report back. I went to Nordstrom in Chicago and had no luck. They brought 4 pair for me to try and we started with the one the salesperson said was the most generous, an Ecco pair, and they did not even close. So no luck finding them in a store.

I went the Duo Boots route and ordered them a few days ago. I will post when I get them.
