I apologize for not being here much lately. I will get back to the 60s, but it will blend into the 70s.

For a couple of weeks I had problems with my desktop which required hours of frustrated attention. Finally faced reality--it was dying. So Mr. Maven picked up a new one for me at Costco, and since then it's been many hours organizing and getting a newer system figured out.

Enough of that for now. When I found the plaid flannel shirt on LL Bean I also found a cotton zip front cardi in a shade of yellow--not a color I wear easily--that beckoned to me. I ordered it, but it was delayed and then the order was cancelled. Later back online it was back in stock so I tried it again. It's enough of a golden yellow that I think I am okay. No makeup here of course, but I have hopes. I like that it is cable knit, zips, and that it's cotton so I won't worry if it hugs my neck.

What do you think about the zipper open? I can't make it lie flat. Maybe press it? The Patagonia jacket I bought last year does the same thing.

When I found the WHBM black turtle in my drawer a few weeks ago--to my happy surprise--I went online and ordered another in the purple. Wearing it today for first time. It's I little snug so you can see the muffin top, and it is a bit itchy. Should I go for the L instead of the M? I will mostly be wearing it with a jacket or cardi. The itch will leave after a washing. And folks! those little muffins have grown smaller. I've lost 5 of the pounds I gained since summer. I'm determined to lose the rest but got to make it through the holidays.

Wearing the turtle with my Chico's pull on pants--if only they came up 2" higher in the waist. Also my Mephisto zip sneakers I thought about for weeks when they went on sale. Finally bought the last ones left in my size. Like them, but they are still uncomfortable to wear. My old Mephistos were the most comfortable sneakers I had for a long time.

Got a hair cut Friday--at last found someone who will do it like I want it.

And that is my friend Jett, who just got her rabies shot but forgives me.

1960s to 70s on the way--I hope soon.

I'll add the finds later.
