Fantastic white dress, and it fits in with your style seamlessly! I am excited to see your backpack when it arrives--I have a sugar eye for that type of embossed leather (not sure what it's called exactly). So fab!

LOVE THIS DRESS ON YOU!!!

Wow Jenn, you were so patient and waited for the right dress and it has paid off amazingly. Fabulous purchases all round, your style evolution just gets better all the time.

These are great additions - your pieces look to be so well chosen and stylish. The bag will be really useful as you venture out more. And the dress is optimistic and crisp. Love it!

What a great dress! I have a similar style from a Portland OR maker in navy linen that I love.

Clever *you* for wrapping the dress in front vs back!

Gorgeous! What a great summer dress. Fits your aesthetic to a tee!

Great find on that white dress. You are building a killer wardrobe.

Wow, y'all have made me blush! I'm glad this dress has been received so well, because I wasn't planning to send it back!

Murph11, it looks very much like your dress! Mine was marketed as reversible and I knew before ordering that I would wrap with the V in front. I did try it on the other direction, just to see, but in white linen, it felt like a hospital gown.

Jonesy, the backpack arrived today. I'll try to do a WIW with it soon.

Sally, that's really encouraging about your son's clothing. If oxy can get out teenage boy dirt, I should have no worries.

unfrumped and chewyspaghetti, I'm aiming for that line between taking good care of my clothes and not being precious about them. Luckily, linen is a sturdy fabric and should be able to hold up to stronger cleaning products. (and big thanks to everyone who recommended oxyclean!)

Minaminu, I worry about see-throughness with white, too, but I figured this had multiple layers of fabric in front, and I almost always wear slip shorts under my dresses, so there wouldn't be a lot to see.

runcarla, peach juice?! Who would have thought?

suntiger, it's nice to have something just a little different from plain leather.

Angie, when I was trying it on, I told Kevin I felt like a Star Wars character. We'll have to do a photo shoot in Galaxy's Edge when we get back to Disneyland.

Vildy, that makes total sense and explains a lot about the aged bottle of liquid oxyclean I have. I'm going to grab some powder next time I get groceries.

Synne, that's great advice--we have no shortage of sunlight!

Fashintern, the backpack isn't quite big enough to hold a shirt or sweater, but it'll be just right for my phone, wallet, charger, and sunscreen...and unlike my crossbody, it'll also probably hold a water bottle.

JenniNZ, thank you, that's such a kind comment. There's something about the light in that second photo, isn't there? Would you believe I didn't wear sandals at all until a few years ago?

JAileen, "as if a cloud has lifted" is the perfect description.

Sorry, I know I've missed some of you, but you are all so appreciated!

Wow, for the white dress especially! I do have a linen stift dress, and another stretchy lace but always worry to wear them, indeed...but what has a girl to do if loves whites!:-)

I love your white dress. I still have the white EF handkerchief linen dress that I bought last year but have not worn yet. I was looking for just the right summer topper and have not found it yet plus there was no place to wear it. Enjoy and wear yours. What I really want is a white basic dress like Carla’s.
All your new pieces look well thought out and very ‘you’. Thinking of you I bought two Johnny Was tops in a consignment store, one black silk and one navy linen, both with embroidery and different sleeve lengths. A little bit of summer boho to change things up.

That dress is sensational on you! Wow! It's going to give you so much variety, too. Just seeing your accessories (and hair) partnered with it gives a whole new (yet cohesive and harmonious) look. I'm with the others -- if it is cotton or linen you can treat any stains aggressively. White tends to work better than you'd think -- as long as you can launder it.

I love your Loyola Convertible Small Leather Backpack. I own it in crochet and have been eyeing the tooled leather version.

Tooled leather! Beautiful backpack and so kewl to see the dress on, it’s really perfect on you. I admired it when you first contemplated it. I definitely want the olive now.

The dress is stunning on you. Wow, you wear white so beautifully. It's perfect with the tan sandals. I'm excited for you, and your plans to debut it at your celebration dinner.

You are the epitome of cool Cali style. Absolutely gorgeous Jenn!

If that dress can be washed, I have found that there are very few stains on this planet that 1/4 cup of blue dawn plus 1/2 cup of white vinegar, soaking in the bathroom sink, can't get out. I let it soak for at least 30 minutes, then I put on rubber gloves, and actively wash for 5 minutes. And rinse and rinse and rinse, until the water is clear in the sink. Roll it up in a towel and compress the water out, and dry on a rack. Which sounds like a lot of work, but actually isn't.

By far, my favorite commerical stain remover is Zout. Zout works when the Tide pen, Spray n wash, Oxyclean, and all the other solutions fail.

You look gorgeous in that dress, and I hope you will wear it every chance you get!

This dress is amazing on you. (Also the light in those photos on the balcony is very special.)

(Last year I got a white cotton midi dress. I fussed over it and how not to get it dirty. Then I wore it for what I thought was a short stroll, but ended up being an 8 mile getting lost in the woods. It washed perfectly.:-)

You look gorgeous in your new dress! I think the backpack will look great with it too.
