WIB: Silky tee and slouchy skinny cropped(!) pants

Here's my second post of the day - but no K/R, because I'm very happy about these purchases! Yesterday I went shopping with a friend who shares many of my style preferences, and we ended up in a small boutique. Dangerous, dangerous! I must admit that my budget for May now is gone already. I'll be on SYC for a while.

Angie, you may feel somewhat divided when seeing this, because I've bought one piece I think you like, and one you probably will have a poison eye for:

#1: Silky top and slouchy pants. The top is in a sporty tee-design with navy striped edges and side seams, very minimalistic, and it was love at first sight. The fabric is 100% silk and super drapey and soft. The pants have dropped crotch and are SO comfortable. For a Norwegian Summer, these are great essentials. My friend bought the same pants, and we got the two last they had in our sizes. Sizing up is not an option for me, I like it this fitted, and they are sold out anyway.

I was really in doubt about the cropped legs, but I finally decided that the length and tapering made them just fine. I need a pair of airy pants, as there were none in my wardrobe until now.

#2: I've played a little with the silk top and my only full skirt - what do you think? Should I have changed the shoes?

#3: The top and pants in a few other outfits. PLEASE NOTE the terrific white Danier clutch that Shannon got me. I love it!

How did I do? Do you agree with me that these are fab finds?

Love both of these! I think the sporty vibe is really fun with the blue top, and I like the slouchy trousers a lot also. They look great with the bomber.

Ingunn, IMHO you are rocking those cropped pants. I love them on you. And the silky tee is lovely. Simple but great detail with the trim. I particularly like your styling in #1 and #3, I think your proportions are spot on. The skirt outfit is cute and I do like it but I think I am still adjusting to the silhouette.

Love both your new pieces Ingunn. I'm not sure Angie will have a poison eye for the cropped pants - they are beautifully tapered in the leg and are a fantastic fit. Love the tee with them. I also think the tee is so cute with the skirt and Cons, and all your other stylings work just as well.

Top is gorgeous on you, Ingunn! No wonder you fell in love. I like the pants, too, though maybe you could try them up a couple of inches, too, just for comparison? I think they look like lovely trousers.

Love all your new things starting with the slouchy trousers. I think the pants are tapered enough to make them work, although I must say I particularly love them with the oxfords, which are close to your skin tone. The top is great! Actually I love the outfit with it tucked into the slouchy trousers with the jacket in the first picture, including the dark shoes. I like the skirt with the sneakers, the blue sort of bookends the top. And, of course, the white clutch is fab!

Great purchases! I love the drape pf the tee and the colour suits you very well. It's nice that the trousers are so comfortable. Sometimes slouchy can feel.....well, just slouchy but you seem to have a winner here.
I particularly love the printed skirt with the navy cons; a very sporty, casual look for summer.
Beautiful clutch as well.....very versatile for spring and summer.
I haven't venutred into clutch land yet but from all I've seen posted here I may just have to try it.

I meant the leg - to make them clamdigger length. You may not be able to roll them more if the calf is quite snug.

By the way, the clutch is great!

Love all these - esp. 1 and 3. The tee is perfect. I also really like the pants and didn't think I would. The skirt with the tee is something I am not used to, but I think it works as well. Great finds. And the clutch is beautiful!

Those pants look very similar to the Gap worn in straight leg khakis they have in the store now. I happen to know, because I am anxiously awaiting a pair of them in red

Thank you, Mona! I often use too much time obsessing over a purchase, so it was a relief to be so sure for once. I'm also very happy about my Danier clutch. It's quite small, which I like a lot. I know that larger clutches are more on trend, but for me, this one will be for going out once in a while, and for travel. And it is white, too

Ingunn I love all the variants you've shown. The tee suits you to a 't' and I really like the trousers on you. What fabric are they? You look sporty cute in #2 and 3 is fab with your new clutch.

The pants are so modern, I totally approve. I think my eye has gotten used to a cropped leg and lower crotch. The other thing that happens is that trends get refined. Things that we don't love at first are improved upon. Case in point the harem pant, where this all started. Now it is perfected.
