I squealed in my heart when I saw this latest post from Angie. I ADORE pairing red and purple together, particularly lilac shades with burgundy or crimson. For a neutral, I really prefer chocolate to go with the yummy lilac and wine vibe.

I realized a lot of my recent purchases for this autumn/winter are actually plum, lilac, and burgundy! I didn't even realize this when I purchased them, it was simply the inspiration I had. Incidentally, and unconsciously, the dresses I own are mostly prints containing lilac, plum, and/or wine. Apparently I really like it. :}

I also love using this color combination in knitting. (Photos 1-2) Back in 2019 I knit this fair isle sweater. The colors consist of plum, a kind of pinky burgundy, orange, milk chocolate, bittersweet chocolate, and... LILAC! (Background color was natural sheep grey.) I have considered knitting a 1970s Missoni inspired sweater in a similar color palette, sans grey.

I also knit a Shetland lace hat and cowl in a chocolate, crimson and lilac combination. (Photo 3)

I adore warmer lilac with burgundy and crimson shades. How about you?
