Hi Fabbers

Sorry I haven't been around a lot lately. Our weather has been terrible --- too warm for winter, and I've been completely uninspired regarding outfits.

I needed a little 'cheering', so I went shopping today. I have mentioned earlier that while black is my favourite colour, I don't own a black leather or even faux-leather jacket. Today I wanted to pick up a lightweight jacket I can still enjoy wearing in our super-mild winter....something that looked good both open and closed. I did find one....I like it a lot. It's part faux leather and part suede-like fabric. I think it may be mixed media. It'll be particularly great on dresses and skirts.

I also picked up black tall boots. My current tall black boots are suede...and I really wanted something in leather. Liked these ones, so they came home with me too.

I hope these 2 new additions will shake things up for me and my winter style.

On the other hand, I have been happy wearing cropped jeans with slip on sneakers (Pic #1). It's a new silhouette for me...and I think it's in line with my style goal to create smart casual outfits I feel comfortable wearing.

How to shake it up! Love this look on you. The sleeves on the moto are a bit long...can you fold them back or does the zipper detail make it difficult?

@Aquamarine, I don't mind long sleeves. They keep my hands warm Usually I just scrunch them up if I need to use my hands. I highly doubt I'll be able to fold my sleeves becoz of the zipper though

Great items - I love the mixed media jacket. The sleeves are a little too long on my moto jacket as well. It's fine when driving or typing (if I wear it to work) because then they hit my wrists perfectly. It's only when I stand with my arms down that they're noticeably too long.
