I've been searching for a replacement for my beloved daily shoe, Earth Origins Carma in gray. After several years, they have ceased to be comfortable for more than a few minutes. They're easy to slip on and look good with almost anything. I could never wear them with skirts because the ankle gaped too much. I always have to size up because I wear a size that is seldom made (10.5).
I've found other great shoes this season, but none have been right for all day, every day. My b&w oxfords are very comfy but they seem so fancy to me; I'd feel silly wearing them with jeans. Plus, the patterned part is hair so I hesitate to wear them in rainy weather. My nude booties are comfy, too, but the heel is a bit high for everyday wear. My Carmas are a great heel height, because they feel like flats to me. That was my #1 priority in finding a new shoe -- something that felt like a flat even if it wasn't. I stumbled upon these last week and ordered them right away. I have so much bad luck with shoes, but my luck has turned! They are very comfortable AND look great with my skirts! The vamp is higher than the Carmas and they are tighter around my ankle. They also have a pointed toe, my favorite look lately!
