Trying Denim Bootcut Jeans Again!

I think I found my pair of bootcut jeans!

These are the Harley East End jeans from City Chic.

My only complaint is the size isn’t right. Their jeans are cut much smaller than their pants. The material is a heavy, stretchy jegging which is I love but also is “painted on pants” territory in this size. On the flip side, sometimes super stretchy jeans can bag oddly when sizing up. So, I will size up and hope they fit well.

No pockets, which I wish they had. Not sure it’s really a dealbreaker for me. Pockets are always handy but I do love the shape and fit of these so much.

They are long enough to need a heel or hemmed, but I think I’m okay with that. Worst case I change my mind and have them hemmed.

I love the shape!!! I think this is just what I am looking for in bootcut/flare jeans. What do you think?

I won’t vote, Ket, because I want to see the size up. These are too tight. But I am leaning towards a Yay much more than the other pair. I think these are way, way better. The other pair did look almost costumey as I think Irina put it in your other thread. These look much more like you, somehow. I realise I was one of only 3 Nays on your other post so will be interested to see other’s opinions.
I also have a secret thrill about an Australian company getting so much love from you!- even though I’m not Australian! But they’re our friends and rivals across the Ditch as we say here (actually the Tasman Sea). I feel closer to North America mind you when my cousin in Las Vegas is in touch, because he calls the Pacific Ocean the Pond!

Jenni, that is a fair point about sizing up. I should probably have waited to post but I am just so excited! hehe I love that you're thrilled about me loving an Australian company! I really love City Chic and will be a little sad when I size out of their clothes. They're just so beautifully cut for curvy figures, and the quality is usually quite good. I find that so cute everyone where you lives call it the Ditch. And the Pacific the Pond haha! That's lovely. Did you ever get to visit your cousin in Las Vegas? I have always been curious to visit Australia and neighboring areas! It looks so beautiful.

I much prefer this cut for you even if you feel the size is slightly too small. But overall they look elegant and fabulous on you! I voted Yay!

(Off topic)- yes Ket I did visit him and his lovely wife from Tennessee in 2013, I stayed maybe 2 or 3 nights with them and took her to a Shania Twain concert at one of the resorts. Caesar’s Palace? I am a big fan so it was too good a chance to pass up. They had married in 2004, no children. He has lived in NZ, UK, France and USA! Lived in USA the longest of all the 4 countries I would think but am not quite sure.

Thank you all!! I am feeling the "yay" energy in your replies and totally agreeing!! Sizing up should help a lot. I love the cut of the leg and everything. So here's hoping the next size is as good as a British mystery wrap-up

Jenni, how wonderful you could visit them! And then to see Shania in concert -- wow! That is a treasured memory for you, no doubt. I have yet to make it to Las Vegas. Hopefully one of these days. I do think it could be quite the thing to see!

I love that color, and they do look like a pretty good length, too! Like you might be able to wear with flats, if you need.

Carol, I'm actually on tip-toes in the photos :} They're that persnickety length that either needs heels as is OR needs to be hemmed for flats. Of course lol!
