WIB: Deborah -esque pants

I had better luck with these, I think, than the work pants in my previous thread.
The black pants are a lovely heavy jersey and they make me feel a little bit like Deborah, whose style I very much admire. (I hope you don't mind, Deborah! )
Bird keepers The cross over pant.

Patterned skirt , to add to my weekend / casual capsule. The kids like this one, and I think the front splits will still be modest enough.
Atmos&Here Iris skirt.

I'd like some more ideas for tops/ styling, black is the easiest option : )

Both look great on you. The black pants look so elegant. The skirt is perfect for the weekend. Both are interesting in a subtle way.

I probably should not give styling advice because I'm not that great at it but I do like the black tank.

Love those pants, they are so cool! The skirt is lovely, too.

I think the pants need to be the star of the show, so i would style them with very simple tops. Black makes most sense, either simple cuts or more drapey/asymmetrical ones like Deborah does. Charcoal and shades of grey would work too. Maybe white if you like high contrast.

Well aren't those super fun and arty? I am not adventurous at all when it comes to pants, so I won't attempt styling advice. But I wanted to say they look great and I like the shorter hair!

Those pants are so much fun! I'm glad you took one closeup that shows the detail. The skirt is cute and looks comfortable but pulled together. Tanya has great ideas about the tops to wear.

Those are fab trousers on you. Nice simple tops will let them shine. I like the skirt too. I did see your other post about the trousers with pocket issues- I have had that issue too. I think classic trousers need to be very well made and probably tailored.

Rachy, Sally and Cerinda, these pants are a new step for me. Simple is good when it comes to tops. One new style step at a time : )
I generally haven't liked an all-black look for me, but it feels more appealing here.

Meredith, yes I do feel a bit arty! Is Arty-lite a thing? I love that the pants look like a skirt, until I walk. Thanks for the hair compliment. I'd just had a trim, and some colour, which always feels good.

Tanya, thank you for the styling ideas. I will give grey a try, and I have an off-White boxy top that might work for a high contrast look. I agree that the pants can be the star. And they're so comfortable!

Lovely choices! Those black pants are fab on you. I think they look great with the black tank. I'd love to see the skirt styled with a white tee also. I think white would look wonderful with your sandals.

Thanks Aliona : ) I think I'll try the skirt with white for Easter next weekend. I love my silver sandals, and need to replace them. Nothing else is up to their standard so far!

Love the pants and flattered that you like my style I agree that keeping the top simple to let let the pants shine is the way to go.

With tops, you could try something short but not too cropped, or something with an asymmetric hemline could work too. For dressing up, how about a short jacket.

Love the pants. I'd personally add a high contrast top (bright red, pink or blue), but that's just me, black looks great
Oh, and a crossbody boho bag. The ones made of colored fabric, you know?
I need your pants now.

Deborah, glad you like the pants : ) I don't have any asymmetric tops at present, so that's something I might add over the cooler weather. Thanks for commenting !
