Thank you for all of the birthday wishes! I had a good day and a relaxing weekend and it was a treat to read through your kind comments. Happy to hear that my style and WIWs resonate with you - I’ve learned so much here and thanks to YLF, am in a good place style wise now. It’s take me awhile to get here but I guess better late than never! It’s also nice to know that I’m not the only one keeping the BR/Athleta/Gap trifecta in business—ha!
@Merwoman, Nikki, Catherine, UmmLila: Thank you!
@Sharan: Haha. Thank you - I had cake too! We have a tradition of getting those little bundt cake towers - so good!
@Helena: You crack me up. Thank you! Your polished classic style is aspirational to me!
@Sal: You are the queen of sporty so coming from you, that’s quite a compliment. Thank you!
@LJP and MsMaven: Thank you! Happy to hear that Geox is a good brand. I’ve heard of it but I don’t know much about it!
@Jaime, Runcarla, Slimcat, Joyce B: Thank you!
@Bijou: Thank you! I love your birthday cherries! I saw them at the store today and thought of you. They are quite pricey here too - so perfect for a birthday treat!
@Irina, Star, Janet, Bluejay, ChrstielJ. RobinF, Inge, StaglaireFash, rachy, Mirjana, Lana, Brooklyn, Laura and See: Thank you! You give me such a boost and I’m happy to share my everyday casual!
@Angie: Thank you! I am really enjoying sporty right now and am wondering if rugged will come back this winter. My boots have been neglected.
@Laurie: Thank you! That LBD is probably down to pennies per wear. It works within 5-6 lbs of my usual weight. Talk about a magic dress!
@Jonesy: Thank you! I love earthly neutrals but the pants and shoes were wild cards. I bought the shoes to wear mostly with denim. This was the first time I paired them together! I will definitely repeat! How exciting for you to get a fresh start - I am pining for something similar. We’ve started the process and have bought a house out of state but won’t plan on moving for a few years. (Both of my parents are in declining health and I need to be nearby.) Retirement sounds so freeing but it is probably a bit premature—I would just like to do something less consuming. It's the challenge of working for a small company - very little depth so it's near impossible to get away from it all. I’d probably get bored in a month but I’d like to try—maybe even pick up hobby!
