I have been completely uninspired to shop or browse or even get dressed other than functionally - probably due to feeling so blah and irritation over my current body woes. I went to the mall to return the Current/Elliott frayed crops that everyone adores because styling them is just making me crazy - nothing should be that much work. Instead of cool and cute, I feel frumpy and short in them. Maybe it's because old school capris never went out of style here. The SA told me people come in regularly begging for bootcut styles too.
Anyway, I wandered into Banana Republic at lunch and spotted this trench on deep sale... I tried a M which was too big, so I ordered S online (they are out of XS). Keeping fingers crossed - even too big it was a lovely fit and nicely streamlined with cool details like the back belt. If it works out, it will be a good spring jacket and a candidate for some double denim experimenting!
