Last weekend I went shopping with my mum. While she tried on the outfits we selected for her, I decided to try a few pairs of white jeans as well. Ny white jeans 'died' on 15th August when I sat in a movie theatre seat drenched in ketchup.....and all my efforts to save them have been futile.

I didn't love these jeans when I tried them. I'm 'over' skinnies and was looking for straight leg jeans...but haven't found any (On the side note, straight leg jeans aren't popular in India. You'll find 1 pair for every 1000 pairs of skinnies you find!)

I took this top to try out with the jeans....just to get an idea of how the jeans will look in an outfit (I went shopping wearing a tunic) but liked the two together. In fact, without the top, I highly doubt I would have bought the jeans. It's the two together that I really really liked.

My mum fell in love with the combination and insisted that I buy it. In fact, she bought it for me as a veryyyy early birthday present I am hoping the jeans will stretch out soon and start fitting like slim straight leg jeans!

Once I bought the jeans and top, I saw these sandals. Now I have too many pairs of black shoes but these espadrilles wedged heel sandals are what I like to call 'casual heels'. I didn't have anything like this in my collection, so I bought them too With skinny jeans, I sometimes like a bit of heel to balance out my proportions....and these will work perfectly with my wardrobe.

I like the simple lines of this outfit. The black and white looks fresh. I've paired the outfit with my favourite Black & White Da Milano leather tote for some matchy matchy fun.

Question: I almost always wear white jeans with white sandals to lengthen my leg line. Infact, I mostly try and match my footwear to my pants because I don't have long legs. This is the first time I'm trying black sandals with white jeans because they bookend my hair. Does it work? Or should I wear white sandals with these jeans?

Thanks for looking. I would love to hear what you think about this outfit. All comments/inputs are welcome.
