WIB - new bag for SS

So, I bought a bag from Massimo Dutti. Not without reservations but I did it.
I find that color and size work for my Spring/Summer wardrobe. I also like the design. I do have some reservations, mainly because I prefer shoulder bags. But maybe it is time for me to branch out to other styles.
The bag has a round bottom, not the easiest shape to wear cross body.
I brought it home and did a quick try out session. Some items new for this SS season, please excuse the wrinkles.
What do you think? Honest opinions, please!

I'd wear a similar bag silhouette but my on-foot lifestyle outside in the elements means I need a bag that closes completely. You don't have rain and wind with doggie in tow to deal with like I do

The red flats are Everlane. I have problematic feet - low volume, narrow but with bunions now. These flats are very soft and stretchy.

Well , I have mixed feelings about the bag in terms of how comfortable it will be worn across the body . It looks pretty structured and stiff. I love the colour and style for a hand held though .

Lisa p, yes these are my reservations, too. I don’t think I would wear it often as a cross body, I wear crossbody mostly with toppers or coats and not with tops or sweaters. But I still want to have it as an option, though.
cream wide leg cropped jeans are new from Massimo Dutti. Blue ones are twisted seam straight, lightweight jeans from 7 for All Mankind, a couple of years old.

Wow, it looks fantastic with your color palette here. How beautifully cohesive! I understand the reservations about the functionality but I hope it works for you.

I am keeping an eye out for a good neutral spring/summer bag — not black, not too tricky or dressy. I wore my silver backpack almost to death last year. Not much is striking my fancy.

Hey Janet, I ended up dragging my Tumi nylon tote everywhere last summer. They have a better range of colors than they used to.

This is a small minimalist bag with lots of personality! I think it looks lovely, but I agree that cross-body might be tricky, given it's shape. But if you plan to primarily carry it as a tote, it's somehow sleek/stripped down but also interesting.

What a treat! Bag looks like it was made to order. I almost always wear crossbody bags and tend to wear them more in front than the side. I don't think this shape would bother me.

The colour is beautiful, rich, but I confess I know personally I’d have trouble with the shape. I get aches and pains from carrying things on one arm and that stick out, like baskets. But I have trouble with all handbags, so... I’m a special case

What a lovely collection of spring outfits. The bag compliments everything very well. My only issue would be that it doesn't close completely, but if unlike me you don't have to use public transport where pickpockets are an issue, go for it.

I think it looks elegant, like you. How you still look so elegant in raw hem jeans and sneakers I don’t understand!
It is a beautiful colour and looks great with these outfits.

Oh wow, what a gorgeous bag! I wear mostly cross body bags and I would wear this one that way in a flash. I love the wider strap that was provided for that. Great outfits too, I am a fan of neutrals and these are looks to copy!

I share your concerns about the shape. It always happens to me - I love designs that are not practical and dislike practical options
This bag is intended to be worn casually, so not for work, I have specific requirements for work bags. I would carry it by top handle and use as a crossbody only occasionally, when I need to have my hands free. Well, this is how I imagine it I don’t know if I would be annoyed by holding it in my hand while walking. Maybe I should keep it for finding out if I’m OK with a top handle bag.

Thanks, Irina. I've been looking at those Everlane white flats for ages. But the Everlane shoes I've tried in the past were all too wide. Maybe I'll try again....

Love the bag (great color and structure) for matching lighter neutral colors in your minimal outfits, thus wondering about the strap isn't it a bit too stiff this wide for a comfy cross body use? (I don't have a problem with the size or stiffnes/structure of the bag per se for wearing it across the body- have some of these bigger tote and I got used to wear the cross body, too-but mines have thinner straps). Never mind, think you can always change with a guitar strap for more ease if my worries would somehow get prooved.
