Hmm. I have been completely failing to post any of my WIW photos. Or of the disaster that the haircut bus haircut turned out to be (well, that was to be expected).

Ok. Nevermind. hehe. Bought some shoes at Nordstrom (basic black pumps - platforms of a reasonable height) a few weeks ago. Well, this is a whole story. Tried the 9s, a bit too short; tried the 10s, a bit too long. Then ordered the 9.5s. Right length, but squeezy when they arrived. So I had them stretched. Put them on today and... my socks make them slip right off!! Argh! I have really narrow heels.

Put shoe inserts in them... and they are back to being a little squeezy and still in danger of slipping off. I need to be able wear stockings with them!

It's too late now, though, I'm keeping them.

Anyways... here they are. I took the opportunity to shop NAS when I went to pick the shoes up. It's a fortunate thing I've been reading about Angie in the tents. When I walked in I was all, *where's the NAS stuff?* Then I figured out the tents. Haha!

WIB - basic tissue tee, turtle neck tee (liked this because it has interesting seaming on the front), blouse (which I'm wearing today), and wouldn't you know it... another parka! Should I wait to wear the parka? Just 'cuz it's the height of summer, don't think I'm not wearing all my down coats... LOL.

See, this is precisely why I don't wear pumps. I have super narrow heels, plus a bunion. Not a good combination. A slingback style helps a lot though.

Pretty pumps, sounds like you are working through the fit issues. I can't help you with that because I'm an under 2 in heel gal. Bad feet with bunions, but I wear the same size as you:) Love your blouses, and the seeming on the red top is a nice touch. Love the color and fit of your new puffer and the oxfords are super cute!

Oh, I will need foot surgery one day. I'm sure I shouldn't wear heels and most of the time don't. It all started with ballet and bad genes. I yielded on these shoes because the toe box is pretty roomy, the point not as pointy as would seem, they're platform (thus *in*) but not crazy kardashian tall.

I've now taken out the inserts I put in the toe box, so they're comfy again. Cut up the inserts and put them at the heel. That seems to be working. Someone needs to invent socks with a non-skid heel or something... Like that commercial where the mom comes home to find the dad dipping their son's feet in liquid rubber.

The oxford's are Jeffrey Campbell. Originally, I wanted some navy patent oxfords from Campers, but the stores never carry the larger sizes, rotters.

I like your purchases, the blouse is great and I agree with you on the seaming detail on the turtle neck tee, lovely colour too. I am feeling your pain on the frustration with pumps, I too have narrow heels and can't wear ballet pumps either

Great purchases at NAS. I can't wear heels like that either because my foot slips out so I try to get a starp across the foot or something to keep the shoe on. You can still return the shoes to Nordstroms if they don't work out for you for any reason.

I can't find them online. But Nordies sells these little footies with a silicon pad at the heel. I'm not sure if they'd be low cut enough for pumps though. They were either the Nordstorm brand or by Hue.

I second Anna's suggestion. I have those footies with the padded heel and toe, and they are great! I got mine at Nordstrom Rack, so check there.

Thanks! This could be the puffer of my dreams. I've been looking for one with waist definition and fairly narrow in the shoulders for years.

I can commiserate about funny shoe fits. I've become MUCH more discerning about that in recent years because it really affects your day negatively when your feet hurt and/or your shoes keep flying off. Grrr. Bad design or SOMEthing...!
