WIB - jacket/cardi?

As mentioned in my other post I went shopping to buy a long cardigan, either black or grey. Instead I bought a black/grey jacquard cardigan, that reads as a jacket for my needs, but very soft and comfy. I can't wear it with my new print tops but goes well with layering ts. Showing it here with various top and scarf combos. I would like to find a grey textured top as well. Both tops and cardi from W Lane.

Any other styling suggestions? As usual any comments/feedback would be reatly appreciated.

It looks great and I like the scarves with it. You could also try other colours underneath, maybe white for a contrast too. Also do you have any jeans for the bottom half and what about trying a pencil skirt to the bottom of your knee cap as I think the long length of the knit jacket might look good with the knee length skirt.

I prefer it without the scarves With them it's reading a little heavy to me (but sometimes that's the photos I know).

Lovely topper! You could also try it over a shirt, or a striped top.

It's a great jacket. I love it with the black and white scarf in #4. The simplicity of #1 is lovely and I would be tempted to add a long silver pendant/necklace. The jacket is subtle yet a bit statementy at the same time so I would keep the stylings simple and minimal. It looks lovely on you.

I agree with Deborah. In fact, I can see you in her Blonde in Black outfits. While I do prefer the jacket on its own it is winter and you are going to want to wear scarves. How about a silvery grey to complement the grey of the jacket?

Ladies, thank you for your suggestions. I am glad you like it without scarves, I did too but was worried it would look too bare. Hmmm, will have to think about Diane Gs suggestion of a pencil skirt - not sure I've ever worn one! missvee, I like the sound of the striped top, I'm not sure about pattern mixing but that would be fairly subtle. Deborah I don't have any long silver pendants, something else to keep an eye out for as well as a silvery grey scarf.

I like this Carol, stylish and comfy. is perfect for the cooler weather.
Seems to go with most too, and looks good with and without your scarfs.

Thanks for the love for my new jacket, it certainly helps me to know I am on the right track. I will try it with jeans but as the only jeans I can fit into are 7 years old, I'm not sure how they will look. Once I get the last 5kg off I will be shopping for new jeans - why does the thought fill me with terror.

Carol: You're looking terrific! Looks like you've been doing some wardrobe refreshing to fit your shrinking figure. This cardi is a lovely start. Comfortable and easy, but elegant, too. I second the others: wear it simple, but strong, and perhaps try it with more slender pants or leggings (although the under layer will need to longer to make this work).

I think Deborah and Caro's posts might give you some more inspiration to take with you when you're shopping. They both have elegant tastes and excellent sense of proportion.
