It's been a shop-heavy fall so it's going to be NO[buy]vember for me! But I found a couple of HEWI this weekend that I wanted to share.
- Striped shirt in wrinkle-resistant material. I hate ironing so don't wear a couple of shirts as often as I would like. This drapey fabric is a little less wrinkle-prone so I think it has workhorse potential. I think the colour and stripe give it the crispness it loses by not being in a stiffer fabric. I was a little hesitant as it is spendy-for-my-budget but I can think of so many circumstances to wear it in, even over the next few months, so I'm going to chance it.
- Blazer. I LOVE this blazer. My practical mindset told me not to get it due to lifestyle but thankfully wonderful DH encouraged me to give it a go. I really think it's another one with workhorse potential; I've been seeking out the right one for a while and this one called from the rack! It's sort of a warm gray herringbone pattern.
- Puffer. The Aritzia super-puff has to be the most ubiquitous puffer in my town, which migh be why I was so resistant to buying one. But I needed a new puffer this year, and was finally convinced by friends that this was the right one to buy - lightweight, extremely warm but breathable, pretty classic, long-lasting (my last one let me down on this score, lasting only a couple of years), and surpringly reasonable given it's Aritzia, which I generally find too spendy for me. I chose 'modern taupe' instead of black to be at least a *little* different ...
The ONLY thing left on my wishlist now is a pair of black pants, which will come when they come - no urgency. So that's it - now my focus shifts to WEARING all the things! (perfect blazer weather today for an appt later; yay!).
The jeans from my other thread did get returned so I haven't completely gone mad with shopping
Thanks for reading; thoughts welcome as always! x
