I was looking for navy blue pieces for my spring/summer collection ( neutral enough with some interest ). The goal was to add things that I can wear to work and after ( natural fabrication preferably ). I went to big mall and visited BR factory, EXPRESS, Marshall’s and ON. GAP factory was the easiest winner. This is what I’ve got: rayon sleeveless top with fan print ( white and pink/purple colors - perfect for now ), rayon midi skirt with small polka dots ( a little loose but fixable) and Sakroots Crossbody bag with white, black and blue/pink in the print - instant wardrobe essential .https://www.gapfactory.com/bro.....ge-content

That’s a very pretty bag . The 3 pieces make a nice little outfit on their own !

@lisa p - Thank you! I tried top and skirt together in the fitting room and it looked good enough - but I'll need to experiment more with some contrasting tops ( and adjust the waist band - it's a bit loose ).

Don’t overlook thrift stores or consignment shops for inexpensive summer things. I got 2 Johnny Was tops, one ever worn still with tags and two pair pull on crops in black and in white. I got a small citron yellow colored bag and a sapphire blue linen EF cardigan that matches a sleeveless EF dress I already have and also matches a sleeveless silk EF top. I can’t wait for the weather to warm up, but sweaters and jackets must stay out for trips into the higher mountains in warmer weather.

@Joy - I rarely lucky in second hand stores ( the slim and petit ladies in Bay Area probably are in abundance ) and my sizes are often gone. Old Navy, GAP, Banana Republic and Lucky Brand are much easier for me to shop since I used to work for all of them before and familiar with their sizing and fabrication .

You got some great items there. It will be interesting to see how you mix and match them. The bag is fabulous and will be well used. I tend to only wear cross body bags now....so much easier than handbags.

Like Angie rightfully mentioned earlier I'll play with graphic tees ( white ones mostly ) and the new skirt. Next month would be the outfit lab and some experimentations.
I'm developing some attraction to soft pink recently - we will see if I'll be able to do more outfits with some of my older pieces in the mix.

Angie - I've got couple of cropped jeans altered ( the waist was dropped on my fav lower level ). I've already worn them and will post soon. I may just wait on the new jeans/pants until the fall and see what merchants will bring into the stores.
My shoes are probably just alright now - the new insoles fixed some fit' problem but the rest needs some professional/medical help. Hoping to see a doctor next month as well.
