I've been pretty much absent for the last few weeks, because every spare minute that I'm not looking after children/visitors, I've been STITCHING!

Here are 2 cot quilts I've finished, both are machine pieced; the pink and green is machine quilted and the squares in squares is hand quilted. And my next project - a hand-pieced scrap quilt. The design is very traditional, and I'm using to modern dark and bright scraps for the pieced rings.

You've seen my dress before, the sandals are Jane Debster and the belt is H&M. Thanks for looking!

You look great! I like the midi length of the dress on you, love it with the sandals.

I like your two quilts, your new project looks interesting. My mother does quilting too, I would never have the patience for it. She always says if I someday marry she'll make me a bedspread. She did one for herself once (with hand) and it took her one year!

Those are STUNNING quilts, Lynne! I quilt in the winter, but I am too impatient to do perfect work. Your color choices are fabulous here (definitely your colors, too). I need to learn how to machine quilt; I'm always afraid I'll make a mess of it.

Thank-you for your kind words, girls! I love to sew, once I start I have no idea where the time goes. Hand-stitching is such a relaxing way to spend the evening, especially if DH is tired and wants to chill out on the sofa. I can stitch while he puts his feet up with a movie.

OMG! OK, you are forgiven for long absence, my dear shoe twin. This is wonderful, I knew you were proud owner of wonderful Singer sewing machine, but I had no idea your skills stretched this far.
