Why so low cut?!?

Just a bit frustrated of late with how low cut maternity tops are. I am finding myself having to pin almost all of them. It is like you become pregnant and suddenly everything is low cut and revealing. Even the works clothes!

I know, I know, I probably shouldn't have bought them. But there are two places total to buy maternity clothes in my area (Nordies doesn't stock XL in maternity, so I am sized out there). And they carry about the same thing.

At least the short dresses I can pop leggings underneath and call tunics!

Arg, that's really frustrating. I know what you're talking about, though. Is there a specific type of item you're looking for? Maybe I can help, since I'm also hunting and I cannot stand low-cut under any circumstances!

It's not just maternity clothes either! But you would think the designers would know better. After all, it's not like the girls shrink during pregnancy.

I remember that. I also had acne on my chest when I was pregnant, so it was doubly annoying.

Have you tried online? I ordered stuff from Target, Old Navy, and Modcloth when I was pregnant. I also found items in the thrift shops that were in fairly good shape.

I will be honest, I was trying to stick with B&M stores. Target's maternity section is all but non-existant in my area, and Old Navy/GAP is all on line by me.

I suppose I should just do an online order. Time to start stalking those extra % off promotions

Sorry for how aggravating this is, Thistle. It is a problem across the board.

I find those large open necklines both problematic and ubiquitous. I shop for my well-endowed 90 year old MiL and it is almost impossible to find something that isn't sloppy and far too revealing. It drives her crazy. Many of the super wide necklines are on clothing that is not well made to begin with, so the whole effect is not workable. Good luck in your search. When will manufacturers figure this out? Probably the same time they figure out that not every woman wants her dress to be 4 inches above the knee.

Yeah, online shopping might be your best bet. Do you have a Kohl's nearby? They have some decent basics right now that fully cover my new boobs. They also have some cute dresses in that Oh Baby line.

Pinning necklines: all the time. I feel your pain, Thistle. It's very rare to find a neckline in between crew and too low.

Yep, been there. I ended up wearing tank tops under most shirts. Luckily I had winter babies so I wasn't hugely pregnant in the summer and could still wear some of my looser regular clothes.
