They have gone and created two new boots that have me absolutely salivating.

This one, in black, is actually grey in real life, and the little heel and almond toe and back zip are so lovely!

Lovely! The first ones look like the miz mooz I just bought. I have a feeling the frye leather is better quality and will last longer. The second ones are the perfect riding boot, and they have a wide circumference... they'd be tempting if I wasn't set for boots. Thanks for sharing.

I'm in the Frye fan club for sure. This year I got my first Fryes - the Veronica slouch boots which I am loving but haven't yet worn because it's been too warm.... until today that is. Then, this year as well, I got my second Frye boots - the Carson ankle lace-ups which I have worn and super adore.

They do have slippery soles, so they are currently at the cobbler getting some non-slip something-or-other put on them.

It takes three of anything to make a collection, so I think I will need one more pair (but probably next year) so I can officially have a collection of Fryes. Why Fryes? ....because I think they are of high quality and are made to last. I like things that last.

You can't go wrong with these!

I haven't settled on a new Frye love yet, but that's because I'm finicky about heel height (I tend to love feminine styling but want to limit my heel to 2.5 inches, which creates a conflict - I also often want Fryes to hug the leg more than they do!)

I'd love something sleek in their "burnished red" leather.

Kafe, the rationalization that it takes three of anything to make a collection is absolutely hilarious! I love the way you think! I know there are many Veronica slouch fans on YLF.

I love the Steffi most, but honestly, I think I'm going to buy my husband a pair of Fryes instead. Aren't these gorgeous?

Kafe, I may now have a collection then!

I love my Fryes -- I have two pairs, and a third (the lace up Julia) just arrived on my doorstep an hour ago. My husband saw the Zappos box and said to a visitor we had, "Janet has too many shoes!"

I'm about to sneak off and try them on to see if they're keepers! My previous two pairs are major workhorses -- very well made and classic.

I like that Steffi boot. Nice heel height!

ironcurtain, I would love to hear more about your Luccheses. I was looking into them a bit ago. The Frye thing for me is basically quality and a name I know. Lucchese is a newer name to me, so it wasn't my go to brand as I was looking for some good quality boots. The difference? Probably not much. Do tell about those Luccheses though.......

Ironkurtin, I have two pairs of Luccheses, and I adore them too! To me, Luccheses are more western/cowboy, and Fryes are a bit more varied in style. Both are fantastic brands with great quality.

OK, Janet, that makes sense. The Lucchese are more Western - they offer more typically cowboy heel shaped, toes, and shaft tops.

Kafe, I love my Luccheses! They are well-made and offer support inside. The leathers are beautiful and the craftmanship is wonderful. They offer several lines; I enjoy the Lucchese and Charlie 1 Horse lines most. Resistol Ranch is also nice, but more workmanlike, less polished, and a lower price point.

Sizing in the Lucchese is a bit tricky, I am a 8.5 or a 9 typically and in Lucchese I am a 8. Also, I got all of my pairs on ebay, because styles change and inventory shifts, so you can get them there new for $100 if you lurk long enough. Just sayin.'
