Why are we shopping by size online when we could shop by body shape?

I'd love to be able to do that but it must cost a lot more on the company's behalf to make it happen. Which then we would have to pay more to buy it from them

Interesting idea. I don't know why they have you pick a celebrity body type, kind of weird. I do like when stores have pants by type so could see something like this working.

Several years ago there was a website called myshape.com that did something similar. You put in a bunch of measurements, answered some questions about your style and the site found clothes that fit you. It was really great and I loved it. To bad it went out of business. It was an eye opener for me in regards to the different sizes I wore depending on the brand.

Interesting idea! Thanks for sharing UmmLila. I'm with Robin on this. I don't know of any slebs who have my disproportionally short legs. I haven't visited the site, but based on the article, I don't want to be locked into outfits that 'show off' any of the body parts they have chosen. I wish they'd been a little more inventive there--how about waist, collarbones, or ankles?

I find this very interesting. I don't know any celebrities that match my body type but it would be fun to try shopping this way.

It's an interesting concept, but it seems both too vague in some ways and weirdly too specific in other ways. The "choose which celebrity's body type you have" is a hurdle for many of us, I'm sure. I really can't relate to any celebrity's body.
