All I want right now is a cute, nice fitting, fluid, solid navy blouse with sleeves that can be worn out or tucked in, in a "dressy" looking, washable fabric, probably polyester. Not keen on rayon, not excited by "mixed media" which usually seems to mean it is nicer in front than in the back, the mullet of fashion.

I interviewed 8 black sweaters to get two that are adequate, and I'm wearing them a lot, because they are so useful. My fear is that the fabrication isn't wonderful, and I'll get to do the same thing again next year because of pilling. (My other fear is that Nordstroms will ban me for too many returns, but you all set my mind at rest on that fear.)

I am so frustrated by wanting to fill holes, but not wanting to settle for "adequate." I really try to apply the standard, like Angie seems to, that it is either a clear 10/10, or it is a zero, and to hold out for the 10, but that is a hard position to sustain in my closet at 6:20 AM trying to create a credible outfit to go to work in.

My current happy spots are my Ecco Soft 7 sneakers, and the delightful fit and tummy magic of the Nordstroms Wit and Wisdom pants.
