Who's watching the Met Gala entrances?

New York Times is keeping us updated. I'm having a lot of fun watching--I don't remember doing this before--I usually look at selection of photos later. However, today I'm recovering from a tooth extraction and have to take it easy. A great way to recover--sitting on my sofa with my cat, Sharkie, who has absolutely no interest in fashion.

Kind of interested in the Meta, but more in your tooth extraction....l am over 65 and have to get a wisdom tooth removed. Would be interested in your experience.

Indigo: I had my wisdom teeth removed when I was in my 30s and my husband much later, in his 60s. I'm not sure I can help much. It used to be much more of a routine thing to do. I'm sure a lot has changed now.

My recent extraction was because I had some decay under a filling. It was tooth #15, so won't show a gap, so I won't have a crown put in. I've had a couple of other extractions--not fun--and had a post put in so I now have 2 crowns.

Dental care like this is so expensive! We are lucky because DH's work supplied us with very good dental care.

If I can answer more specific questions I will be glad to do so. Dental care is so much better now but so expensive!

Tonight I am mourning the loss of my sister and rthe anniversary of the loss of my son. It isn’t a political event. This show has brought me a lot of pleasure.
