Who's doing cobalt?

I see cobalt is on trend and it's everywhere in the stores. I already have

- Cobalt Jcrew wool coat
- Cobalt leather handbag
- Cobalt heels

Do I need more cobalt? I don't think I do. Because my fall/winter coat is already cobalt, I don't often wear the bag or heels with it -- it's overkill to my eyes. (I'm chuffed to think that coat is still on trend, as I purchased it several years ago.)

I have a cobalt winter coat too! It gets more compliments than anything else I own, I think. I also have a blazer and a couple of tops.

I wouldn't mind adding some cobalt boots, handbag, or skinnies to my wardrobe this fall. I tried to find the perfect cobalt boots and jeans last year and was not successful. (I have a black wool coat as well so I wouldn't need to do head to toe blue!)

I am - I have a cobalt dress and a sweater, and a handbag with a cobalt stripe down the side. Saw tons and tons of cobalt in NYC for fall. Glad it's still in because cobalt, cream and black is one of my favs. Shiny, you will be super stylish and right on trend in your JCrew coat this season!

Yep, I have tons of cobalt, including a wool coat. I had way too much, some of it did not survive...

Loving that cobalt and we're seeing it all over our Canadian stores for fall. I would love to add a cobalt blazer and already have a pair of cobalt booties.

Cobalt has always been one of my favorite colors. I am glad to see so much of it this season. I got skinny jeans in the spring, the NAS coat last month, and I have shoes. It even finds its way into my underwear drawer.

I need a new coat for winter, so I'm on the hunt for one in cobalt. I'm so excited this is trending- I'm going to stock up because this has been a favorite forever. Actually, most blues are a win for me, but I love the extra energy of cobalt.

I've loved this color ever since the 80s, so I have no intention to stop wearing it, ever. It's one of the most flattering colors on me, also.

Let's see... I have:

- a leather moto jacket
- a trench
- a sweater and two tees
- a pencil skirt
- and two blouses

in cobalt alone. And that's not counting all the items I have that include that color in a print! So I'm stocking up while it's available.

A couple years ago I started with a cobalt Michael Kors bag. Last year I added some cobalt skinnies and a JCrew cobalt Lady coat.

I didn't even bother to use the cobalt bag last winter and the skinnies aren't seeing any wear (I might be over colored skinnies).

So, what did I just do but buy a pair of Report Marks booties in beautiful cobalt! (Okay, they were NOT expensive but WERE extremely comfortable).

Fingers crossed that I can think up 2-3 outfits where I pair the cobalt booties with the cobalt bag -- and don't feel like a clown :-\

I will most likely always do cobalt because I love it and my features love it. It's a happy pairing.

However I do feel I kind of overdosed on colbalt items last year so I'm really trying hard to not purchase anymore this year unless it's something incredibly amazing.

So now I'm overdosing on dark reds instead!

ETA: Sarah you must wear the boots! I've wanted some cobalt boots for, forever but haven't found any that sing to me without being ridicuously out of my price range. :-/

I love cobalt! I have a great cobalt winter coat that I just love. I also have a pretty cobalt dress that Angie featured last fall. I'm eying the cobalt and black skirt from Vince Camuto with the white shirt with the peter pan collar!

Sara, perhaps you might have more luck with cobalt booties, in terms of getting lots of wear, than cobalt pants. My thinking is that they are just a "hit" of colour, not a vast expanse of colour...does that make sense? A little colour perks up interest without taking over the whole ensemble, you know? Not that cobalt skinnies aren't fabulous, but it's quite a big statement...or at least it would be for me, if I had some.

Glad you like the pointy boots too. Thanks for the hint about Amazon -- although they're still $400 boots.

I adore cobalt and always have. I own NO cobalt items and I intend to remedy that this season. In junior high I had a long pencil skirt with a front slit and matching sleeveless v-neck top in thick cobalt terry cloth, a luxe outfit for me and I always felt beautiful in it. Since I was done growing I wore it for years, until it wore out sometime in college. Wish I had it now, sigh. Thanks for the memories...

I have cobalt skinnies and have actually been thinking of dyeing them teal. However, given how unlikely I am to actually execute any of my DIY ideas, they will probably stay cobalt.

I adore cobalt and have none! So yes, I definitely hope to find, at the very least, a bag and a sweater. On my fall shopping list I actually have a cobalt trouser suit listed. Not sure I'll find the right one, or be able to afford it if I do, but oh how I want one!

I have a cobalt beret and I've had it for YEARS. I tried on some cobalt crops in the gap but didn't like it. Tried on cobalt jeans and liked it but I had to hold off as I'm trying not to purchase any trend items.

But yes. I dig cobalt. I want a cobalt ponte dress with an exposed zipper.

Cobalt is my new favorite color since last year and I cannot get enough of it! It is hard to imagine now that I though it is unflattering on me and never even considered it. I have a wool coat and a color-blocked black and cobalt tunic. I would like to get cobalt t-neck and cobalt jacket and cobalt booties or shoes! LTS has this wool cobalt moto jacket which I really covet...but it is too expensive for me now:

I purchased a cobalt wool coat and a cobalt pencil skirt during NAS. I love the skirt, and can't wait to start wearing the coat if it ever gets cold here. I also recently got a cobalt blazer from Gap. I can't wait for cooler weather to get here so I can wear at least the blazer.

I don't have any at all, but I'm thinking about getting a cobalt winter coat. All of mine are black or grey, it would be nice to have a bright color for a change.

I have always been drawn to cobalt. I have a fabulous cobalt bag that I got years ago at the Mall of America, a cobalt tank top for layering, and pointy toed flats. I'm currently on the hunt for a cobalt cardigan and maybe a scarf. It's great in small doses for a wow factor, so I wouldn't go overboard with it if I were you. Your coat sounds divine!
